Azamara is supposed to be docking in Siracusa

But, I just heard from my tour company that they are removing the port. :confused: I was not aware of that. Does anyone know why and will ACC change ports if we are to dock in Siracusa and there is no dock or will they just tender?

We are to dock in Siracusa as well. I will contact my TA and see if he knows anything or what he can find out.

The port is called Siracusa, according to my travel documents, but Siracusa/Ortigia is pretty much one in the same.

I've done a google search but didn't come up with anything. I think Ortigia is right there when you get off the ship.

I did ask a TA....he said they are the last to know anything.

I don't know if Bonnie could shed some light on this or not.

Was there in August. Yes they are rebuilding/revamping the pier, so the ship tendered. Wasn't a problem.

Basically the tenders drop you right where Ortigia joins Siracusa.
