One more thing..I wonder if passengers that have committed illegal and or irresponsible acts are told they are on a "do not sail" list?

Maybe in some other countries, but not in the USA.

The Federal Civil Rights Act guarantees all people the right to "full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin."

The right of public accommodation is also guaranteed to disabled citizens under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which precludes discrimination by businesses on the basis of disability.

However, jumping from a cruise ship while drunk is not among the protected categories.

If she was hanging onto the outside of the railing and "slipped", then that's just as idiotic (and intentional) as jumping, IMO.
She also accused Carnival of getting her drunk by "pushing" Long Island iced-teas on her and encouraging her to drink more by giving her free $5 casino coupons each time she purchased more drinks.

You are not totally correct. I work in a hotel, and hotels do have the right to refuse service to anyone as it is considered private property. I know this as we have escorted many an individual out of the hotel. When they refuse, and we have to call the police, they tell them the exact same thing.

However, it is illegal for hotels to keep a written "black list" of guests that are no longer allowed to stay, and I believe that it is the same no matter hotels, cruiselines, etc. Notice I said written black list -- that doesn't mean that people don't keep them, they are just more creative with ways to keep the list. Keeping a written list is considered discrimination.

This is simply so far from the truth.

The irony in this false statement is that the earliest common carrier laws in the U.S. (I am not referring to maritime law, which comes much closer to making the above statement true!) were enacted precisely for the purpose of preventing common carriers from arbitrarily refusing business.

It is certainly true that civil rights and disability legislation has limited the rights of a business to arbitrarily refuse business, but there are many other statutes, some vastly predating these laws, which also place restrictions on the extent to which certain businesses can pick and choose which customers to exclude.

I hope they have this magical list, because it seems to break my civil rights to enjoy a cruise when it has to stop and turn around to go pick up some fool that gets herself so drunk she "slips" off a ship that has 4' railings on it.

Every bar I have ever worked in has had a sign posted simply stating "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason" and we have on several occassions refused many people services! I don't know how a cruise ship (floating hotel/bar) would be any different?

As far as I know, she was NOT blacklisted by NCL. Just RC and X.

She had been sailing quite a lot on NCL, and posting on that board, but someone reported recently that she seems to have disappeared. I believe that her husband passed away. (also reported on the NCL board)

Who is this person? When you say complaining, I would assume that she was harassing the staff on ships. Is that correct?

Honestly, celebrity, we are not allowed to discuss her on the CC boards.
