I 45 Completion and Partial Clouse Northboand

Texas Department of Transportation crews are expected to finalize some of the Gulf Freeway's main-lane expansion over the weekend.

That means road closures. Starting Friday, May 12 at 9 p.m. until Monday, May 15 at 5 a.m., two northbound lanes on Interstate 45 (Gulf Freeway) between FM 528 and Scarsdale Blvd. will be closed.

All traffic will be diverted to the access road, so plan for delays along this route. "This work will complete the final lane configurations on the northbound main lanes of the I-45 Gulf Freeway and will allow all five lanes to be opened by mid-May," TxDOT reports.
