A hotel in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise

We're looking for a nice hotel for a few nights pre-cruise.....not too far from the port but near the beach.....and near to the water taxi.

Any recommendations?

Hilton Marina, or Hyatt Pier 66. Both on 17th st. near the port entrance.

Doubletree Gallery One has a water taxi stop and is 3 blocks walk to the beach. Westin Beach is nice, across from the beach, and a short walk to water taxi. If you want to go upscale, Ritz Carlton is across from the beach and VERY close to the water taxi.
