NCL STAR FREESTYLE TIPPING

Recommended Posts

i hearad all kinds of stories about this and everyone is sure their answer is correct. They know cause the talked to someone who knew. Sometimes they spoke with a crew member, sometimes thier TA, sometimes a friend who had talked to someone and on and on. No one seems to really know if the service charge is supposed to be the tip or not, so we, to be safe give our server an extra $5.00 or $10.00. NMNita

The staff in fact is in the tip pool. I always tip well but never felt I needed to tip additional at the bistro unless the service was exceptional.

I remember the first time I ate in the Bistro on the then Windward. It was $5 and positioned as the tip for the wait staff since they were not around for the old passing of the envelope.

I have to assume that the now $15 dollars goes to the company and the staff shares in the pool. The indivual share of the pool is waited based on your rating in the job. The best staff work in the bistro and get a larger share of the tip pool.
