I just got in about an hour ago. I will be back on later, post any questions, I might write a review later on, and don't count on pictures because I somehow lost my camera yesterday (the day before we got off), I am very mad. I have some complaints to Carnival and I will tell them to you later. So post any questions.

No questions?

I get so sad when I come to these boards, because before when I would come here I had a cruise coming up, now I have no cruise. I hope I plan my cruise very soon. I had so much fun and I wish I was back there.

Anyway if you have a question post it.

Some compliaints:

1. The bus we took from FLL to the pier was so old I didn't know if we were going to make it.

2.The bus driver didn't know where he was going, he had to ask about a dozen different police officers.

3. There was so much traffic from the VMA's (not Carnival's fault, or anybody else's).

4. Then when we get off the bus, the driver asks for a tip and tells us not to tip the porters. The porters told several of us if we don't give him a tip he won't bring our luggage to the ship. So some people got their luggage and carried it.

5. We had to wait in that horrible warehouse for over an hour! None of the soda machines would work and it was so hot. Plus their was a lot of people jumping in front of us.

6. Then when we get to the counter, they lady checking us in had no clue what she was doing. It took us 30 min. at that counter with that lady.

7. When we get on the ship my room key wouldn't work, but it only took 3 more cards and 4 hours later that it finally did work.

As you can see embarktion was not good.

8. But another thing was just about every person on this cruise was so grumpy and had an attitude problem. Pushing and shoving, cutting in front of line. Cursing at other guests because they don't get their way.

When we were going to the muster drill, a lady was trying to get through with her child in a wheel chair. You know the section where they all wait. Well some rude guy said "Everybody from the infirmary is here, why do have to go out on the hot decks" and he said it loud. A couple of the parents were upset by this guy. This is not Carnival's fault because they don't know who is coming on the ship. It is just how rude the people were.

I still have some more complaints. But I still had a great time and wish I was still there!

If you have any questions just post.

Jr., 1-5 was not Carnival's fault per se (the bus driver is questionable if it is or not). 6 & 7 definitely they're fault. Sounds like someone was having a bad day all around and it "rubbed off" on you. 8, no excuse for bad behavior. If that happened to me, I would have said something "not-so-sweet" to that idiot from the drill. Nice to know the rest of your cruise got much better though! :)

Oh we enjoyed our cruise, in fact we LOVED it! I'm not the type of person who lets those little things stop me. But they do bother me. The rest of the week was fun, fun, fun.
----How did you like the bedding and what excursions did you take and did you get in on any slot or blackjack tournaments and if you did was that french girl Eva still doing the tournaments---thanks ANDY

The bedding was like a rock, I don't think the new system was installed yet. But I seen a lot of mattress's in the steard rooms. I didn't take any excursions this time or did any blackjack tourtments. Sorry.

I wanted to say something so bad, and I still regret not saying anything. But my mother-in-law said something (that I don't think I should post). So trust me that made up for it.

Hi jr mafia, sorry you guys had some problems, we had absolutley none!!We loved everything about the Valor, including the passengers and staff, pretty much all we met were nice people, the staff did a wonderful job. We got to the port about 10:00 and were on the ship by 12:30, not too bad I felt, for getting 3,000 people off, and trying to get all of us on.

Any questions feel free.

I had a Great time on the Ship and so did my wife.

There were a Few Snags here and there but they were minor at best.

We Drove from Cincinnati,Ohio Down to Miami we staied in a hotel down there and the Staff was Extreemly Rude but not a huge deal.

ON Carnivals web site it said parking was 10 bucks a day and you paid when you left, When she showed up it was 12 dollars and you paid when you got in. The only parking that was left was on the top, the sixth floor again not a big deal Just take the elavators down right ? WRONG they werent working so we had to lug our luggage down 6 Flights of stairs then wait in that wearhouse with ever one else boy was I sweating.

But by the time I hit the ship all of that was Forgotten the room was Nice. the Bed was WONDERFUl pillows were nice I kinda Miss it. All the staff of the boat was nice. and so were most of the people but there were a Few that were always complaining about something but I never let that bother me.

I will cruise with canival again. I would Like to even Sail on the Valor again the wife and I are all ready looking in to booking our next cruise for Next year !

Jr., we were on the same cruise with you. I agree about the embarkation. It was the worse day of our lives. That warehouse was unbelievable. My girlfriend, who is a diabetic, nearly went into shock. Luckly we had candy and a very nice lady had some cookies which she gave her. Carnival needs to do something about that entire process. Re: the bedding. Our cabin, 6367 had the new heavenly bedding. Believe me, it was heavenly. We slept alot. What with the gently rocking of the ship and the new bedding, we were in heaven. ;)

What time did you get off the ship? I want to book my air today.

We waited on the lido deck until they called the last call for everybody to be off the ship. We were off the ship by 10:45. We got to Fort Lauderale and checked-in for our flight by 12:30. So I think everything went smooth.

We were on the 8/28 Valor and loved it. I think the crew is the nicest of the three cruises we've been on. Embarkation and debarkation is always annoying, at best, but it's only an hour or two. I thought the bedding was wonderful. We did the beaches in St. John and St. Martin and they were so beautiful. We went to visit the Atlantis when we were in Nassau and I was not impressed. I guess I expected more. The $29 for "The Dig" was so not worth it.

I actually want to metion some of the nice crew:

1. Agnelo our waiter

2. OV our friends waiter (he was so nice nd he wasnt even our waiter)

3. Nicolete a bartender at the bar by the casino (she is OV's wife)

4. Ami at the Jave Cafe

5. David the bartender in the main lobby

6. And the guy who sang in front of the casino at night

They were all real nice people. The rest of the crew was nice to, don't get me wrong. But these people just stood out. But the whole crew was terrific.

We were on the same cruise also and embarkation was the worse I had ever seen & that was my 7th cruise with Carnival. Waiting in the hot sun then into the warehouse like pack rats. Our waitress told us that for what ever reason the crew had to all go through emmigration & that delayed embarkation. That it is usually only the new crew that needs to go. Once on the ship we had a great time & it was nice meeting some of you. We even joined the vaction club so that we would not wait on that kind of line again.

Do any of you have the camp carnival capers for age group 12-14? Did any of you have kids in that age range? What type of supervised activities did they have after 10 pm? The website says they have some but doesn't mention much.

We are booked on the VIctory for April but may consider the Valor if the kids stuff is better. Thanks for any info you can give me.
