Our favorite is always LeBistro. Cagneys is good, but not sure it's worth the $30 charge. The main dining rooms have revamped their menus fleetwide, and it's really an improvement. .....very good. The Italian and Chinese restaurants are both very good if you are bored with the buffet and main dining, and are relatively inexpensive. The Irish pub (I think it was O'Sheehans) was free and really good if you just want a change. I have no experience with Moderno......

The shanghai noodle Chinese place was lovely. I like moderno but as a fussy meat eater I was limited to 3-4 cuts rather than the full 10.

There's always food available at the outdoor section of the buffet on deck 15 so yes kids can grab pizza/burger & other snacks.

Cagney's on the Epic (last December) was good, but I don't think it's worth the $30 surcharge. It was much, much better than the disaster at Cagney's on the Sun on our recent cruise (sides were served in little aluminum pots, and cold ... even the baked potato was barely warm). I doubt I will ever eat at Cagneys again. We did like Modernos quite a bit.

For the burgers / fries we really like O'Sheehans, a mid-ship "pub style" restaurant that had pretty good food. The buffet on the Epic is pretty good too.

We must be one of the few who dislike Moderno's. Found all the food way too spicy for us - but the salad bar was great! We have had the UDP on both our cruises, enjoyed Cagneys and Le Bistro both times. Teppenyaki is always fun. (if you haven't been to Benihanas.) La Cucina is hit and miss, depending on what you order. The pizza was good - the chicken parm not so much. We will be on Epic with you Xmas week - can't wait. We are not taking the UDP this time, as we want to experience the dining rooms - which we have never stepped foot into! We also enjoy O'Sheehans for our meals or snacks. Their chocolate chip cookies are really good!

We preferred the aft main dining room on the Epic; we kept getting faint smoke smell in the midship dining room (it is open to the casino floor above). Interestingly I didn't notice any smoke smell in O'Sheehans, which is on the casino floor itself!

I think all of the restaurants, both included and extra fee are good.

My favorite is Le Bistro, but I also liked Shanghai's, Cagney's, and Moderno. I was not a fan of the sushi - not because it wasn't fresh - but because they only had the boring traditional rolls which is OK, but nothing to write home about. We went to Teppanyaki since we had not eaten there yet and it was like any other Teppanyaki/Benihana restaurant. You do it once and that's pretty much enough for life. The restaurant for the suites was great. I never got a chance to eat in the buffet, but I did go in to observe it and it is the biggest buffet I've ever seen anywhere.

I think Epic also has an outdoor buffet area close to the pool, which is a great place to pick up burgers/hotdogs/fries or just a quick snack. That stuff is usually available in the regular buffet at all hours except breakfast.

I agree that LeBistro is great. I didn't think Cagney's was worth it, but I'm picky about a good steak. My DH and I did the Chef's Table one night and it was awesome! Really good food paired with different wines. We sat at a table with 5 other couples and had a blast! Highly recommend it if you have the chance to attend.
