Default Casino on Journey

Does anyone who has been on the Journey know what the casino is like compared to other ships like Zenith (big, small)? I can't really tell from the photos. Is the gambling age 18 like the Celebrity fleet?

I've also had a bunch of questions about the casino - what tables are there and what are the limits?

Thanks!

Andrew

18years and up to gamble. Also by the way 21 and up to be served alcohol.

Several black jack tables; $5 min, 100$ max. One roullette wheel, doesn't have the number tracking gizmo I've seen on other ships. $1 minimum on the numbers. $5 minimum for a field bet (red, black, odd, even, etc)

Three card poker. No Caribbean stud. No Craps table.

The usual runs of slot machines including a few banks of the penny/nickel denominations as well as a few multigame (joker poker, black jack, etc) machines. They also have a Texas Hold 'em table that appears to be video driven. But as of the end of the 5/12 cruise it wasn't up and running. One of the casino guys said they tried to get someone onto the ship in Bayonne to get it running but failed to do so. Maybe it's functioning for the 5/19 trip... There's a good sized bar area centered in the casino, the back side of which functions as the gallery for the onboard ship photos for sale.

Overall it's a pretty intimate enviroment. The dealers were pleasant and did a good job at the tables.

No Caribbean Stud - good - I hate it. Never see people shooting craps on cruise ships anyway - I like Let it Ride now and then - I will miss that.

Thanks

Thanks so much for the casino update, have been very interested to hear what they had. I hope the cruise was wonderful for you! Can't wait to read all the reviews.
