Carnival Players Club

Yesterday's mail brought me a $100.00 casino cash coupon from Ocean Player's Club.

This too was a surprise for me, as I haven't cruised since 2007.

Yes, gotta love Carnival.

I was wondering if anyone else had gotten "coupons". I'm glad you got one too.

My husband received a letter from Carnival with a Casino certificate attached in yesterday's mail. It was encouraging him to book a cruise before September 30. We are already booked on Conquest for 10/31/10. I read everything on the certificate and could not find out if it applied to new bookings only. Does anyone know if he can present the certificate when we board and get the credit applied to his account with the casino? It has his Player # and name on it. TIA

Call the Ocean Player's Club (1-866-299-5859) and explain to them about your upcoming cruise. I got the certificate 3 weeks before my cruise and they are honoring the casinocash.

My cruise was already booked, so I too was wondering if they would honor it. I called and they told me "yes" it would be honored. It was booked before the cutoff date, and I am sailing before the deadline date. You will be good to go. I also read every word in the letter/certificate and there is nothing there that says anything about "new bookings only". Have a great cruise.

Hey everyone thanks to this board:) I contacted them the other day and explained I play big and never got really anything except free drinks and they responded they would like to extend a bon voyage package (not premium) and $100 cage comp. they also said to contact them every time we cruise so they can make it happen

Good luck all Mike

I contacted OPC before my last cruise on HAL. They said I would receive a gift and $50 cage cash. Prior to that I joined the OPC through Carnival and have received gifts, cash and free drinks. I forgot to bring the email with me so I never inquired about the comp cash. Eventually the casino host found me by looking at my points while I was playing the slots. He gave me drinks, shirts, bags and wine and offered dinner at the steak house AND an actual card for the OPC. He said next time I cruise Princess, HAL or Carnival to call them ahead and let them know I would be sailing.

My next cruise is on Princess which will be my first Princess cruise. Has anyone else received benefits between Carnival, Princess and HAL? It look like the OPC card is good for all of those lines.

Hello all,

I am a predominately blackjack and craps player, especially on cruise ships so I am wondering how or IF i can join the players club and how it works. My wife plays slots but usually penny or nickel slots and never enough to get 1,000 points.

ANy suggestions on how to be recognized by the hosts on board and get these phenomenal opportunities?

Thanks a million

Bet big. We were told on our last cruise that you need to be $25 per hand on blackjack. DH has a good night on the craps table on the first night and we drank free in the casino the rest of the cruise. He probably had $120 on the table for most the the night.

Just got back from the Valor and I have to say my bon voyage package and my $100 was not there .Took a copy of my email from player services to the casino host and still nothing.Explained to him I play pretty big and he didnt even care.Bought us a couple of rounds of drinks throughout the cruise but that was it.Our first day at sea I lost a grand.I thought maybe he would look at my play and maybe try to make something happen .Nope.I love Carnival but maybe its time to switch, evertime we go I lose double what the cruise costs and get nothing in return.Dont get me wrong I do it for fun and can afford to lose but give alittle something back to good players

Many thanks to the OP for posting. I just got my response from the Player's Club as well...I've never asked to be rated, but DH and I spend a good deal of time in the casinos and I've spent the value of my cruise on several occasions, usually on the 3 card tables.

My Preimum Bon Voyage package will be waiting for me on my Christmas cruise on the Legend! :D

It never ever hurts to ask!

I hope everyone who was promised a gift in there room on there future cruise actually receives it. I was on the Conquest and also was promised a bon voyage gift in my room but I never received it. The casino hostess was very rarely seen in the casino. I kept track of my points this time and had almost 3000 by the end of the cruise and I was playing less than I usually do because of their unfulfilled promises!!

My wife emailed them the week before Christmas and got a reply she qualifies for a premium package Bon Voyage, so I called the number 1 888-672-2582 and talked to a nice lady turn out I also qualify for a premium package as well and have a choice of taking $25 casino credit or get 2 packages delivered to the room I opted for 2 packages cause it will last longer than $25 for sure. So yes call that number they have all your info from previous cruises and look it up in a heart beat and let you know right away if you qualify or not.

We just got back from the Spirit and did in fact get the premium Bon Voyage package as promised prior to the trip. It included a basket of fruit, a couple of large bottles of water and a bottle of wine. We also received a $15 photo coupon the first night at dinner.

The host on board the Spirit was awesome. She actually found us the first night in the casino by seeing our names on the slots while our cards were in the machines. Every day she came by to talk to us and was always very friendly.

Overall we had a great time in the casino. DW hit a couple of jackpots on video poker and DH was able to play craps throughout the week and not loose too much.

Craps..Ah..craps..that's what I am looking to play on the Legend 2/20/2011. Good to hear DH didn't lose too much. I am practicing playing craps here at local casinos.

I too calledthe Players Clus this week before my 1/15/11 cruise on the triumph. Was on the spirit twice last year and gambled both times about $1500 on the video poker each trip. Was told I will get a $150 credit in the casino upon checking in with the cage. So my advise is to call the 800 number listed in the earlier postings before you next cruise to see if the Players club will give you something based on you last play. I too have the Harah's Diamond level but in comparing the "discount" from my Harrah's diamond versus the discount as a past passenger on carvinal, Carnival is still cheaper.

I've never posted anything on a blog before but this subject caught my eye and I'll be sure to call the OPC before we cruise. Someone asked if you ever get anything from the Player's Club and I have to say yes. My husband and I both got the mailer with the $75 coupons plus last year we received an e-mail from the OPC with the offer of selecting between 1 of 5 free cruises, couple of 3 days, 5 days or a 7 day. Thought that was a pretty good offer so we took them up on the 7 day and had a great time. It was pretty last minute but we're retired and found airfare that wasn't outrageous so off we went.

I sure wished i would found this site before i went i my cruise last year. I was never offered to sign up for anything only was told to keep the sail and sign card in while playing slots. Never was asked for anything while playing the table games. All well live and learn.

I just wrote to them via the Ocean Players Club website about 2 weeks ago. I waited a week and they didn't respond. I sent them another email as we have changed our email address and thought perhaps they had responded to the wrong address. I mentioned that this was the 2nd request and mentioned that we had a new email address. They promptly responded that there will be a bon voyage package for us. :)

I emailed them last Sunday .Tues, I got a response to go to the casino desk on my

upcoming cruise (4/14) for a $50 voucher. I'll call them a week before we go --just as a "polite reminder". Thanks all, for the info. I've been on 7 cruises w/ Princess and 1 on Carnival and have never done this--learned it on these boards!!:D
