Getting Off/On Ship While in Port

Going on our first ever cruise in December to Freeport and Nassau. When a ship is in port, are passengers able to go off and on as many times as they please? Or once you're off, you stay off until you're ready to go back on and stay on? KWIM??

Welcome to cruising. It's addictive!

No restrictions. On and off as many times as you like.

Thanks! We are used to going to Cozumel for a week each year but wanted to try something/someplace different for our anniversary so thought we'd give cruising a try. Not sure I want to become addicted though as I doubt hubby will spring for 2 trips every year and I love my time on the island!

Happily, you can go back to the ship whenever you wish.

Some like to shop in the morning, take the "new stuff" back to the ship so they don't have to wag it around with them, and go back to do something different in the afternoon. :)

Excited for you! You can come and go as often as you want to go back and forth between security :) Come and go as you would like but be on board when they tell you and not after they tell you. Make sure your watch is set to SHIP time. I have seen many running to the pier as we pull away. Most of all..... have fun... you are on vacation.

No restrictions as to the number of times to disembark and re-embark. But! Be fully aware as to the latest time you need to be aboard before sailing.

And just make sure to know whether you have to be back on ship time or local time. If ship time, ignore what the clocks on land say and keep your watch (you do have a watch I hope) on ship time.

Re the suggestion on the previous post that you should have ID and your ship card, since you can not leave the ship w/o your ship card, that will not be a problem.

Tenders will stop running at a certain time in getting ready for ship to depart. Make sure when the last departure for the ship from port will be. Have a synched up watch. I would not depend on phone if diiferent time zones have been crossed over.

Yep last tender normally departs 30-60 minutes before you are due to sail, but the time will be clearly posted both at the area you board the tender and where they dick the tenders.
