RCCL Tour to Nevis

We took this tour 2 weeks ago. Don't waste your money. Waiting to hear from Royal to try to get our money back.

We got off the ship and walked over to where the water taxi was docked. (There were probably about 40 on the excursion). We all gasped at the condition of the boat. There were big chunks of fiberglass missing and the boat looked like it was pretty beat up. The crew was basically a water taxi service, nothing more.

Once we were all on board, you could see mold on the seats and my husband the bathroom was totally disgusting with no water or paper towel.

It was a good 45 minute ride over to Nevis where we loaded into several taxi's for a tour of the island. Basically they drove us through town and pointed out the grocery store and dry cleaners. It was nothing like the excursion read on the Royal website. We did go to the restaurant and beach for lunch. The food was decent. However, we were actually taken to NORTH Piney beach, not Piney Beach and stated in the brochure. NORTH Piney beach was not nearly as nice.

After a while we were loaded back in to the cabs to go to the dock to catch the water taxi back to the ship. (The description states they we would board the boat from the beach).

On the way back one of the motors broke on the boat (there were two old outboard motors). One of the guys was hanging off the back of the boat trying to fix it to get us back. We did get back in time, however we lost all our shopping and port time as we only had maybe 20 minutes before we had to head back to the ship.

I took pictures of the boat and the motor being fixed. Sent this all off to Royal and waiting for a response.

I would say do this excursion at your own risk.
