Default Concierge (Fantasy)

Hi,

We are going to change our sailing from a 5-night Magic sailing to a 7-night Fantasy sailing. I am debating between a family veranda and a concierge family veranda. (There will only be 2 people). Usually, concierge is associated with a suite but I also see that Disney has suites in addition to concierge rooms. My question is this: Do the concierge family veranda rooms look the same as the non-concierge family veranda rooms? If the rooms are upgraded plus the concierge benefits, then I may book one of these. But if the only difference is the concierge, then I won't.

Thanks

I know I am answering my own post here, but I figure if I was asking this then someone in the future may have the same question. I managed to find some time and called Disney and was told the following:

The Concierge Family Oceanview Verandahs have the same floor plan as the Deluxe Family Oceanview Verandahs. However, the concierge cabins have upgraded material.

The Concierge Family Oceanview Verandahs have the same level of service/perks as the suites except the suites get to order extra items for room service.

I recently stayed in a family veranda on the Dream, and it was really lovely. While the furnishings shown for the concierge rooms seem a little more formal, it's still the same room dimensions, and the upgraded furnishings don't look that great to me. If you are the sort of person who really values having access to a concierge lounge then maybe it is worth it, but the decor alone doesn't appear to be worth the upgrade.

Exactly, upgraded furnishings and decor. All other Concierge perks are included except the ability to order full dinner and breakfasts from the restaurants. There is no dining table in the cabin. You can still order from the standard room service menu.

For me, this was a bargain so I took it. I typically like to stay in suites for a multiple of reasons. In this instance I can cope with the concierge family verandah not having a separate dining room and save thousands of dollars.

Noticing some of your upcoming cruises, just wanted to note (which you may know having been on Celebrity before) that Celebrity also has concierge rooms so that you can have some perks without getting big suite (and they also have smaller suites), and HAL sometimes offers the ability to get some concierge perks with regular rooms - although be careful because they also have a level of suite that does not come with concierge access! Bigger room, though.

Thanks! We love Celebrity, especially the Aqua class (mainly for Blu).

You won't miss the dining the room. The concierge lounge has multiple food offerings through out the day and happy hours with cocktails before each dinner seating. You will also get a 100 minutes of internet. The concierge team on the Fantasy is one of the best we've sailed with in all of our Disney cruises.
