We are doing a cruise out of Charleston for New Years Eve.....has anyone done a New Years ruise that can tell me if they do anything special. We have cruised many times but the New Years cruise is a bucket list thing....

We were on the Carnival Elation for New Years in 2012 it was wild the whole ship was rocking we were up till 4:30 it was a great time !! And we're in our 60's we have been on two other New Years cruises one on Princess and on Celebrity they were fun but Carnival was the best for sure!

Great Time ! Noise makers and hats are in the main dining room at your table. Balloon drop in atrium and countdown and dancing up top outside. As stated champagne when you board and also NYE. Big screen tv has countdown from other city's also.Dancing was taken inside to the lounge about 1-1:30. We had a port stop next day so went back to room. Also horns will blast at midnight.YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST.

Went on NYE cruise last year and had a blast!!!

We are doing the Splendor this NYE as well because we had so much fun.

They close down the casino at 11:45 PM so the crew can go up to the Lido to enjoy the good times. The place is packed like sardines but lots of champagne, noisemakers and noise!!

You will love it!

Happy sailing!

  • 1 month later...

We went on a NYE cruise on the Fascination out of Jacksonville. We were served free champagne when we got on the ship up on lido. That night we had a special menu at dinner in the dining room, party hats and blowers. There were lots of parties going on that evening, but we decided to go back to the room and relax.

Hello all.

Totally random question that I cannot remember the answer to. This is my third nye cruise which makes it more embarrassing.

Do they change the dress up night to nye? I feel like they did last year but I just can't remember. I'm packing up my bags now and trying to decide on an outfit for that night. (I.e. Do I need one or two nice outfits.)

For the Miracle, we board on 12/31 and that will be one of our formal nights.
