HI,I am sailing on Veendam from Valparaiso on the 18th of March and will hopefully be booking a minivan to undergo the shore excursion in Ushuaia.

The van takes 6 people or 10, and we are 2, is anyone out there interested in sharing the van for a tour as follows. We would like to include the chairlift option,

OPTION Nº 1: NATIONAL PARK EXCURSION ( 4 hours tour ).

This beautiful place is located very close to the port.In the way to the park we will drive through the city. After arriving to the park we proceed to stop at Ensenada Bay where the end of the world post office is. In that place the tourist has the chance to stamp his passport asa souvenir. Then we head toward the Roca Lake, where guest can take a peaceful and lovely walk surrounding part of the lake, taking magnificent photos, arriving after a couple of minutes to a coffee shop where we stop to have a hot chocolate while enjoying of a panoramic view of the mountains, forest and rivers.

Finally we drive to the end of Panamerican highway where there is a famous sign that has the distances from Alaska up to there.

Rate: U$S 65 per person ( If you are more than 10 people the rate drops to U$S 50 per person )

If you want we can add one more hour to visit Le Martial glacier. Thereis a chair lift close to it that last 30 min plus 30 min to walk atthe top of the mountain the rate is u$s25 more per person. )The chairlift admition is not included in this rate, it is about u$s 12). If you do not want to walk it is possible to take pictures from a view point at the end of the chair lift while the rest of the people comes from the walk-It is necesary a minimum of 6 people ( or if you are less than 6 you pay the rate for 6 people )

Welcome to the HAL forum of the CC, however there is a different forum here for you to use when looking for others sailing with you. A the e-mail you received when joining the CC states:

Our famous Roll Calls are for people who are going on a specific cruise to meet each other before cruising, and discuss all aspects of their cruise. This is *the* place to find others who might want to share a shore excursion or tour in a port of call. Roll Call forums are available for most major cruise lines and ships.

Reading What is a ROLL CALL and how do I find mine? (that is a link) can also help you understand the function of the Roll Call forums here on the CC.

There were other ideas in the e-mail on how to best use the CC. It may be worth reading again.

Good luck -
