LIVE from Celebrity Equinox July 23rd Embark; Mast Grill Burger Update!

I am now confused so there is going to be a price change correct or whenever you get to Key West correct?

No price change. My understanding is that it is over. From what I have read, the charge was imposed awhile back by corporate when they boarded in Key West. Since then there has been a reversal and the Mast Grille is back to having free burgers. At least that is my understanding.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

We checked with Celebrity to find out what's going on on Equinox and was told the Top Burger Bar at Mast Grill was just a temporary pop-up experience that is now over and Mast Grill has gone back to its original menu.

I posted that it was called a pop-up about a week ago after it was reported that way in a story on it.

That said, the timing still seems odd. I think there's more to the story.

Another random observation: maybe I missed this on the boards elsewhere, but we had a piece of luggage confiscated because we had a surge strip in it! They will return to me at the end of the cruise, but be forewarned, don't take surge strips/protecters on Celebrity any more. And I get it, poorly constructed surge strips are a potential fire hazard.

Because we were in San Juan until 11 tonight, they offered blanket 30% off any specialty restaurants this evening. We went to Tuscan Grill (b/c Murano couldn't accommodate our large group of 13) and it was FABULOUS! We did TG on Med cruise on Reflection two yrs ago, and they have stepped up their game! Highly recommend and great value for the money. Also note, if you have kids they are only ten bucks at the specialty restaurants. My 10yo daughter loves the kids club, can't get my 12yo son or his soccer teammate buddy to even try ClubX. Yet...

For the gamblers out there, blackjack table minimums are IMO insane. Lucky to get a 25 dollar table most are north of 100. I played craps w/my BIL (one side 25 the other 10) and lost 75 but won 100 on the casino lotto. So very good night all around. And man do I enjoy the smoke free casino!

The casinos on Celebrity are all non-smoking.

No smoking allowed any inside venue on any Celebrity ship.

There is no smoking anywhere inside the skin of the ship on all Celebrity ships -- that includes the casino.

Thanks for the blackjack information. That will save us some money on our next cruise. DH does like craps so hopefully he can find the $10 side.

Thank you ADDboy for your up to date comments. I had communicated with my regional representative who obviously took it to the top about the "? Kobe Burger & Price". So glad to see that once again, our power in numbers supported this reversal of events.
