The Next Four Gates Are On The Way

The new gates are in the house... well at least on the Atlantic side! I'm just guessing here but I think that is going to be all the gates for the Atlantic Locks since the Atlantic Locks will be completed first. Eight gates for each new set of locks. I don't know how accurate is what I was told.... the Atlantic Locks will be name Agua Clara or possibly Aguaclara and the Pacific side locks would be named Cocoli.

Looks like I guessed wrong as to where the new gates were to be located according to gCaptain. Here's an excerpt from the gCaptain article...

 

"The new gates come in two sizes, the larger being 57.6m long, 10m thick and 30.19m high and fabricated for the middle chamber of the new Pacific locks; and the smaller being 57.6m long, 8m thick and 22.3m tall, which will be located in the Atlantic site’s upper chamber."
