Quick, easy, COOL thing to do in the Bahamas.

We will be there in September with my 66 year old MIL, my husband and I, and our 5 year old son. We've been in the Caribbean before in September so we know the heat is insane and so we know we want to be in or near water, although not necessarily just beach time. We've been to Junkanoo before. We are also planning to do a "splurge" excursion at another stop and so want to keep it cheap, under $40 per person.

We will be in port from noon to 7. Any ideas?

A day pass at British Colonial Hilton might be the ticket! It's within walking distance, is $40 pp and includes food and drink vouchers. There's a lovely pool area as well as beachfront. We've spent nice, relaxing days there on several cruises that stopped at Nassau.
