Hi. If we want to walk half the walks and then go inside the old town, are we best to start at pile gate or ploce gate please. Thank you.

We would like to walk near the part where they jump off rocks.

Just got home a few days ago and IIRC, you would want to start at the Pile Gate. If you start at the Ploce Gate, you'll be on the hill side. I'm assuming when you say "we want to walk half the walks" you mean you're planning to walk only half the wall and not the entire thing...??

The walls operate a one-way system. If you start at Pile gate, it will be mostly down towards the harbour whereas if you started at Ploce, it would be mostly uphill. From Pile to harbour gives you the nice sea views and Buza bar if you want to stop there. Ken

Entering the city wall closest to Pile gate will permit you to walk the sea side of the wall. The entrance is called "spas" since it is located adjacent to the small church Sveti Spas (Saint Savior). Please do not miss walking past the old port until you reach Ploce exit where you can enter into the old town easily. Please be aware that the entrance fee will remain at 100 Kunas per person, no discounts for only half. I do hope that you are coming next year as Buza will be closing down for winter hibernation since our weather has changed already this season. Enjoy.

We are leaving this weekend. So Buza bar is closed??? We have seen videos. etc and wanted to stop.

It all depends on our weather, the forecast for this weekend appears to be good. However after Monday the rains are back...and our sunsets are now beginning at about 1700. Our season normally ends on 31 October, but often a few places stay open. Good luck!
