Hertz bad reviews on yelp kauai

Okkk was all set to book with hertz and then reviews that were recent on yelp about hertz in Kauai! Yikes!! Looks like Alamo may be better?? Better reviews,

People waited forever for car once at hertz cu of lines.

Let me be sure about this , Either rental I will have to shuttle to airport for car??

We used Thrifty on Kauai and Maui and Budget on the Big Island. No trouble at all with shuttles to and from the airports.

I'm sorry I can't help you with Alamo or Hertz.

Yes, you pick up your shuttle at the pier. They run continuous loops. I believe the offices are all outside the terminal, and the airport is located very close to the ship dock.

We rented our car through Hawaii Discount Car Rental web site for the best rate. Indicate you are a cruise ship passenger to get shuttle pick up. The website routes you to the companies website and you book directly with them. No advance payment and you can cancel. We used Thrifty and there was no wait, but we left the ship early. From arrival in the shuttle area to leaving the lot in our car was probably less than 30 minutes. Sign up for the companies membership program. It's free, and gets you in the fast track line.
