Viking Rhine Getaway Cruise Basel to Amsterdam

Anyone done the Viking Rhine Getaway Cruise. Basel to Amsterdam. We are departing Basel on 6th July 2013 for 8 days.. Anyone been in summer and got any advice for us re boat, excursions, dress etc. Good or bad experiences. We are planning to spend about 8 days in Italy ( Cinque Terre, Florence, Venice), a couple in Switzerland (Lucerne/Interlaken) before departing Basel. Will probably do Jungfraujoch rail day trip. Any imput would be appreciated.
