These are between the lifeboats so they may have higher obstructions on the sides but at least you can see water when you are sitting down.

Happy to help! Lucky!!! I'm going keep looking for 200, 186 or 214 for our March 1 cruise. They were the least obstructed but not available for our sailing. A little more than 6160 that we switched to today. I also would love to see what an E-1 Cabin looks like.

That's what I switched from. I originally had a E1 for the Anthem in March 2016. I got to see one on the cruise. There is no sofa just a regular chair. The room is like a box, and the closets were narrower than the D cabins. The one thing it did have going for it, was the balcony it was about the size of a JS, but without the cushioned chairs. I cancelled the E1 and went down to the Next Cruise desk and booked an DO. It worked out to the same price as the E1 plus I ended up getting the $200 OBC for booking onboard.

Hope this helps.

We are looking for the 3 nt on anthem next october. These are a lot cheaper then having an interior or ocean view. We had a balcony on independence this week and had fantastic weather. We had an interior last year right in the middle of hurricane type weather so didn't even venture outside on deck

6214 is listed as 50% by RCI. It is right between the 2 davits which are in front of 6212 and 6216.

The cabins listed as a 75% obstructed view may not all have the same amount of obstruction but hey certainly have more of an obstructed view than those that do not have the davits in front of em.

I saw 6214 and knew it was listed as 50%, I'm trying to find out what 6216 is. It doesn't look like a 75% obstruction in the picture.

As I walked down the hall looking into the cabins that were open as they were being cleaned I took a picture of the cabin number and then the balcony. Here is what is on my phone for 216ImageUploadedByForums1417099271.223678.jpg.3d0bd8e9bf2ef87d402a22ec372590ed.jpg

Here is 214ImageUploadedByForums1417099308.078901.jpg.d316912f2a8b2747f73edfbbc8edaed1.jpg

The steward and some luggage were in 214 so I didn't go in. But my husband and I said remember the one with the luggage because it was very open.

Hope that helps!

Happy thanksgiving!

I chose our rear deck 6 obstructed view cabin for the following reasons, the price was a good deal, we wanted the rear of the ship for stability, and most of all, there is an entrance to 270 at the far end of the hallway.

We will be on the February 2nd sailing and are looking forward to exploring this new ship.

Happy sails to you,

Tina

I am wondering if anyone is creating a cabin compilation for the Quantum ships. It would be really nice to have (like the more general RCCI cabin review list). Of course I can say it would be nice but unfortunately I am not the one who could do it !! I hope someone does though.

There are some really nice D8 category cabins on deck 6 that are not obstructed - ours was 6540 - about 8 cabins ahead of the foward elevators - good location with good views.

Great to hear you liked this cabin as we just switched from an obstructed view balcony (even though it had a bigger balcony -6690) to a guaranteed balcony on the Anthem for June. We were assigned 6540 the next day! Saved $400 and got a better cabin. Looking forward to a great cabin and view.

Cabins 8512 and 8514 had absolutely no obstructions. Just a hull balcony.

I've got 7512 and 7514 booked on Anthem. Here's hoping they're just hulls too. Even so, it's better than the inside room I had booked for the same price...

Upon viewing photos from the exterior side of the ship, it's looking like the only blockage on the front cabins are from the hull. Sweet deal! That's right, I'm replying to my own post! So there!
