Taxi service from Pier 35 San Francisco

We are disembarking Regatta Thursday morning May26 at Pier 35, San Francisco. Does anyone have a feel for the availability of taxi service (to the airport) at that location and day of week? How far from the luggage pick up point to the taxi rank? Thanks

It is about 500 yards from the Luggage Pickup to the Taxi Stand, and there is generally a line of cabs waiting when a cruise ship is loading/unloading. :)

take a cab, they are right there, 1/2 hour to the airport and it goes quickly we got there much faster than using the ships transfers Not sure what it cost DH thinks $30. plus tip

You can put in the reverse itinerary from Pier 35 to SFO.

We are trying the Super Shuttle. Shared ride to SFO is $40 for two including gratuities. It's a passenger van carrying 7 and pickup is at Pier 35. Our flight out is at 1:30, though, so if you have time constraints, try the taxi, though I hear it is considerably more money.

We've arranged for a car to pick us up at the pier because there is another huge cruise ship coming in to the pier the same morning and there will be around 3000 passengers.

Marebear, can you tell me what car service you used, and how you arranged for the pickup time, since docking times and disembarkation are somewhat fluid? Thanks

Jim, I googled a limosine company - Limo Affaire - and emailed them. They responded quickly. Our flight is at 12:45 pm and, since we must be off the ship by 9:00 am, I asked them to pick us up at 8:45 am. They have my cell number and will call it by 8:00 am to connect as to meeting places. They are not allowed to wait outside the pier, but will circle around. If there is a problem, we can fix it when they call me.

I am using SanFranciscoLimo.com, with same general arrangements as you described. We will need to be off ship a little earlier than you, probably 0830am, because our Delta flight leaves at 1155am. Given many disembarking pax from 2 ships, I feel more secure about getting to the airport on time with a limo than a taxi. By the way, how did you find out about another cruise ship in port?
