Freedom of the Seas Owners Suite
I have been watching the forums for some time now, but this is my first post. I am going on my first cruise in December on RCCL, Freedom of the Seas. After reading many reviews, I opted for the Owners Suite. It's just my friend and I.
My biggest concern is getting seasick. I have terrible motion sickness, but I will have medication from my doctor. I opted for midship, and more space with a bigger balcony. The perks all seem wonderful but I am concerned about getting off the ship in time to make my 1pm flight. Do we get to leave the ship without having to stand in a line of 1000 people? Also, we will be in room 1648, when I booked the room the lady told me there are two showers? I'm seeing mixed reviews on this, does anyone have the answer? I know there is a shower and tub, but maybe a shower in the tub? Are there better days to check if the price goes lower? I read here you can get a refund if they lower the price. I hope mine goes lower.
Lastly, I think I will take out the insurance but have a question. If we would need to see the doctor on the ship, is that visit covered?
Sorry it's so long, a little anxious being my first cruise. Please send any advice my way and thanks in advance. I really enjoy reading every post.

I've quoted specific questions from your post with answers below.

You will have an assigned meeting venue the morning of debarkation and the Concierge will escort all suite guests off the ship. It is approximately a 45 minute drive from Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport.

Our experience has been that there is a tub and then a walk-in shower. The bathroom is huge.

You are eligible for any price reduction up until final payment, as long as they are not for "new bookings only". What I do when checking for price drops is to do a dummy booking on the RCI website. I know what my cruisefare was when we booked. If I see it go lower, I call our TA.

All charges incurred on board including the Medical Facility will be applied to your SeaPass account on board. At the completion of the cruise all SeaPass account charges are transferred to the credit card on file that you gave when you checked in. You can then submit a claim to your insurance carrier for any medical charges.
