hollyberry Posted June 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2015 I booked a short cruise out of Tampa in February. Going to book return airfare and I find out about fog. What should I do? What are my chances in late February. I was going to book a 12:15 flight, but it sounds like we may still be on the ship. Should I cancel cruise, is it that risky? Book a later flight? Roll with the punches and go as planned?
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2015 February does seem to be a foggy time for the Gulf Coast especially if the air temperature is cooler than the water temperature. Of course weather conditions are subject to lots of factors and guessing the weather even during the week of your cruise is chancy. However, if there are delays, your ship may assist you in finding or making return flight changes. It's always good though to have a back up plan. Keep track of different flights, and different airlines flying back to your home. That includes multiple stops or possible plane changes. If you can, don't book a non-refundable ticket to keep flexible.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2015 To be on the safe side I would look for a flight at around 2:00 PM. Keith
