Current Staff on Voyager

Any recent cruisers that can report on current staff? Particularly interested in hearing who might be General Manager, F&B, Maitre 'D, Dining Room Manager, Executive Chef, and Cruise Director.

OK, here is what I have

Captain: Dag

Dining Room Manager: Luis Teixeira

Chef: Cornell Ruhland

General Manager: Anelo Balbi

Cruise Director: Ray Solaire

Staff Captain: Fulvio Calandro

Social Hostess: Nicola

Asst. cruise director: Elda Pauluzzi

Cruise consultant: Gudren Werner

As I mentioned before: I cannot guarantee that there will not be staff changes. This was the 7/31 Baltic cruise.

Gee, I wonder if that means that Cornell won't be on for the Discovery Collection. We're on the last leg, Rio to FLL and would love it if he was on.

 

Really curious who Cornell is. I'm happy to see Ray Solaire on board -- he has had rave reviews lately.

He's been our chef on Voyager both times. One of those times we did a CDB course (with Fred too), and he participated quite alot--helped us cook! It was great, he's charming and very cute too.

 

Thanks! Maybe he is why the Voyager has had such great food reviews lately. Hope he'll participate in our CDB course:)

Homelover, thanks. I was hoping that Martin would be in Compass Rose but I guess no such luck. :(

 

Who is Ray? Is he new to Regent? Did he move up through the ranks?

No, he has served on many lines including Oceana and Seabourn. He is coming to the end of his career, I would think. He does puppet shows and magicky things as well as running the general entertainment.

Wendy, I know Cornell just came back on because I talked with him, but I don't know how long his contract is.

Marc, Ray is definitely at the end of his career! I went to his show, and found it to be well orchestrated musically, but boring. Dag said he worked with him 20 years ago on song of Flower

Since I am on the week before travelcat, hopefully I will get Cornell too.

 

How do you register for the CDB cooking class?

 

Unfortunately it is only offered on a few voyages. Your cruise is Spotlight and Art and Music. Ours is Spotlight on food and wine -- plus the CDB class.

All, thanks for the additional info.

 

I guess too much to hope for Jaimie or John. I miss not cruising with Barry and Sam, too. I hear Paul is on Navigator so at least there will be one familiar face.

Thanks for asking. It's a spectacular itinerary. The ship is nice. Regarding food & service, a few things been outstanding; a few, relatively unimportant things have been bad; and most things have been mediocre.

The net is that we are enjoying it.
