Medical Policy Coverage and Extension in the Event of an Accident

I purchased TravelEx Max package again for my next cruise and started to wonder in the event of a catastrophic medical issue while on a cruise, how long coverage would be extended beyond the original policy period.

TravelMax language states:

All coverages under the plan will be extended if your entire Covered Trip is covered by the plan and your return is delayed by unavoidable circumstances beyond your control.

If coverage is extended for the above reasons, coverage will end on the earlier of the date you reach your originally scheduled return destination or seven (7)

days after the Scheduled Return Date.

I'm interpreting that as if I am unable to get better within 7 days after the policy period ends, that they will not provide my return arrangements for a injury that occurred while the policy was active?
