New cruiser

Never been river cruising and would like to do the Danube next year. So many company's and itinaries that I thought I would ask here for any info to help me?

Would like to compare boats and prices of course! Thank you.

There is so much info on here that to get started you really need to spend some time reading posts on here. You need to contact all of the river companies that cruise the Danube and either look at their websites or request their brochures.

Once you have some specific questions, then ask. Your post is so open ended that until we have some more details - what is your age? activity level? do you like fully escorted / guided or are you more of a DIY? do you like art, architecture? are you a foodie? do you have mobility problems?

You need to help out with more details of what you are looking for.

I agree with DubFan. The more research you do, the easier your decisions become. Pricing is available in their brochures and on the websites.

Ditto that. You need to read reviews, search this forum for this topic, which is constantly asked about, then narrow down your options.

If you need help with all of it, I suggest working with an agent who really knows river cruises.

We are cruising AmaLyra's Legendary Danube next spring. We had a wonderful cruise from Brugge to Amsterdam 4 yrs ago on Tauck. A friend recommended AmaWaterways for our next river cruise. We're really looking forward to seeing this area of the world.

As others have pointed out, read the different forums/reviews here; send for brochures, cruise catalogs or CD's (Ama provides them).
