Pharmacy/ Drug Stores

I am trying to pack light.

I will be in Singapore for 2 days prior to a cruise. Are there stores that I would be able to purchase American type of toiletries? Like hair spray, toothpaste, shampoo,etc;

You will be able to find toiletry items. You might find some of the same brands. It is unlikely you'll find exactly the same products or formulations, and they will be more expensive than in the US. How light do you need to pack that you can't bring along a quart size ziploc with your toiletries for a week?

(on the other hand, I love to shop in supermarkets and drug stores when I travel, so I absolutely go to them to find NEW items I can't get at home - went to Watsons, Fair Price, as well as Daiso, a Japanese chain similar to the Dollar Store in the US:p)

Anyone know if Hong Kong has similar stores? I'm currently in SE Asia and will be in HK next week, just about the time my nIcotine gum stash will run out.

Not sure what the regulations are on nicotine gum, but yes, Hong Kong has chain drugstores (like Watsons and Mannings) as well as local pharmacies.
