Default Edinburg Military Tattoo Restaurants

Would like some recommendations for a casual restaurant close to the Military Tattoo. We have tickets for Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 9PM show. We are on a private tour from the Caribbean Princess and are a party of 6. We are on a wait list for The Hub, but would like some other choices...not very fussy when it comes to food! Any suggestions? Thanks, Bonnie

Sorry: Edinburg should be Edinburgh!

All on the Royal Mile:
The Witchery (pricey)
http://www.thewitchery.com/
Angels with Bagpipes

Deacon Brodies Tavern
(my favorite on the Royal Mile - serves good, inexpensive pub food in the restaurant upstairs. You can check-out the reviews on TripAdvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran..._Scotland.html)

Thanks! Our tour guide recommended Deacon Brodies Tavern, too! Sounds like that's the one! Appreciate your recommendation!

Make sure you make a reservation if they will take one. In addition to the Tattoo, the Fringe Festival will be going on. It will be a zoo and hard to get into fooderies.

You might be better to go slightly further down the Royal Mile, the Scotsman Brasserie on North Bridge is good. Deacon Brodies is nice but its crazy and not great service during The Festival
