3 Cruises Booked on New Ships

In Feb. I'll be on the Regal Princess, May Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas and in October the MSC Divina.

Anyone who's read my trip reports knows that craps is my game. So for anyone who has played in the casinos on any of these ships I'm looking for information such as:

1- Minimum bet level (I assume $5 min.)

2- Odds levels on MSC - I already know for Princess & Royal Caribbean.

3- Length of table - I assume 12 feet.

4- Table bounce - normal, dead or very bouncy.

5- Is craps open in afternoon on at sea days?

6- What time does it open in the evening and full table or half table?

7- How crowded was the table most of the time?

Thanks,

Regal – I was on this in Dec 2014 so YMMV

1 Minimum bet level $5 min

3- Length of table – The type with room for 8 racks on each side

4- Table bounce – Seemed normal to me but i generally toss them with a flick of my wrist so it's not like I'm trying to control the movement of the dice.

5- Is craps open in afternoon on at sea days? i remember it being open

6- What time does it open in the evening and full table or half table? Was usually a full table by the time I got there (around 8pm)

7- How crowded was the table most of the time? Wasn’t crowded most of the time.

Anthem - was on the first week of december 2015

1 Minimum bet level $10 min

3- Length of table – The type with room for 8 racks on each side

4- Table bounce – Seemed normal to me.

5- Is craps open in afternoon on at sea days? It was open at 1pm-ish on most days but there was one day where it was only open for about an hour from 3 to about 4. some sort of staffing issue.

6- What time does it open in the evening and full table or half table? I think it opened at 7:30, full table but I was usually there from 9pm -1am.

7- How crowded was the table most of the time? was crowded at night. on and off in the afternoon, mostly a half table. generally just 3-4 addicts in the afternoon but sometimes it got busy.

Thanks,

That was very useful information. It sounds good so I'm hoping for some really positive results.

I should really be ready for the craps play on Regal. For the 2 weeks prior to the Regal cruise I'll be on the Emerald Princess playing for 14 straight days.

Hence the name, Dice-enator.:D

Envious!

Escape was in port with Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas & MSC Divina in a couple ports. Of course we could only view those ships from the outside, but they looked Really nice. Especially Anthem.

Of course, I think they were all probably looking at Escape, and thinking the same thing. :)

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Dicenator: Good luck on your new bookings. We are still booked for some cruises on Carnival. I think I will purchase a new set of dice and give them to the ship Casino as a gift. We enjoy going on Carnival and consider the casino experience as part of our total experience on our vacation. A few years ago we were looking at MSC as a possibility for a future cruise until I discovered that at that time they didn't have a craps table in the casino.

Casino Player,

After my cruise on the Carnival Pride where I found the dice (marbles), I decided to wage war with Carnival since using dice this worn is detrimental to the players, making it almost impossible to win.

After sending emails to the CEO, VP of casino operations and customer Service, I got a response from the VP of Casino Operations. We had a 30 minute conversation on the phone where I gave him my throwing results comparing OK dice to the marbles. There was an average 3 throw per hand in favor of the OK dice. The conversation ended with his telling me that he would have a staff meeting to discuss this within a week.

Two weeks later I called him to get the results if any. They brought in outside casino experts to consult on this issue and they agreed with me concerning worn dice. Carnival has now changed their policy. You will never have a set of dice used on a cruise that has been used more than once on a previous cruise. Two days usage and they will be discarded. This is fine since this will make the dice equivalent to a land based casino's dice usage in one shift on a weekend day. They bring in new dice every 8 hour shift.

This should solve the dice issue on Carnival so I can stop my boycott. By the way this Senior Vice President of Casino Operations is also in charge of Princess, Holland America and Cunard and these policies apply across the board.
