Cruise Books for Kids

As we were reading, "Walter the Farting Dog Goes on a Cruise" last time to my 4 year old, I was wondering if there are any other children's books with a cruise theme. My son is having a hard time conceptualizing a cruise ship. We've been on a large boat recently to go snorkeling in Hawaii & he keeps asking if we can jump off the cruise ship into the water like we did on our snorkeling boat. Clearly- I'd like to dispel that possibility before we cruise :)

When he is ON the ship, and sees how far from the water he is, he will not want to "jump" in!!! Kids have amazing "self-preservation" instincts!

Thanks so much for mentioning Walter the Farting Dog. We have a 4 year-old on our next cruise and focussing our efforts on her this trip. Walter the Farting Dog will be an excellent stocking stuffer and a great way to ramp up the cruise ship excitement.

I checked out Pinterest for Suess ideas to do/play/decorate in our cabin during the trip, if that's of interest to you.

There is a children's book called "Peter the cruise ship" also. The main character is the ship and he has other boat friends etc.
