Suggestions for Pre Cruise hotel in Miami for Oasis

My family and I will be cruising on the Oasis in July. I found a good deal on American to fly into Miami instead of FLL. Any suggestions on a good hotel in Miami very close to the airport? i will be flying in late night and all I need is a place for bed and breakfast. We will be leaving for FLL as soon as possible in the morning. I dont want to stray too far into the city. Any decent hotels close to the airport would be ideal.

Look at hotels in the Blue Lagoon area - Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites and others. There is a local strip mall across the street from the Hampton Inn for last minute purchases - drug store, grocery store & liquor store. :D

If you are arriving very late there is a hotel inside the MIA airport - cleverly called the Miami Airport Hotel.

Some budget options that might work and are often suggested include La Quinta East and Comfort Suites North. They are not in an attractive area near the airport - fine if you just want to slam the door and not venture out. :eek:

Thank you. I am seriously considering the Miami Airport hotel simply because it is in the Concourse itself but it seems pricey for my budget. So, I am exploring other options
