Fantasy Class Cabin Placement

We're sailing on the Inspiration early next year and are currently booked in U9, which is a porthole room. I'm worried about getting seasick being so far forward on the ship (we had R3 on the Celebration and I got horribly sick). Room M21 is open and it is the same category. It is further towards the middle of the ship than U9, while still being a porthole.

Do you think it would be a good idea to move rooms? Or do you think it's not going to make much of a difference?

If you'd get sick in U9 you'll get sick in M21.

I'd keep U9 as you're less likely to hear machinery operating than in M21.

Take along some sea sickness meds or ginger and start taking them a few days in advance. You should be fine...

All the port hole cabins are far enough forward, that if seas are rough, you are going to hear the waves hitting the hull and feel the motion. .. thats why port holes cost the same as bottom deck inside cabins.

If you are going to move I would move farther back on the ship. just past midship would be where I would go.

You will have to go further towards midship. R9 amd M21 are still in the bow. We were in r28 last week on the Fantasy with Earl on our heels and we got quite a ride. The port hole cabins are a great value, tho. Just gotta watch out for your tummy!!

Thanks everyone. I went ahead and had her move us back a little since it didn't cost us anything to move.

I'm hoping the price of the interiors goes down to what we paid so we can upgrade to one of those and get closer to the middle of the ship. Right now it's $20pp extra to move to a regular interior.

As one who is very prone to motion sickness I would not take a chance on any cabin that is not midship. It is worth the xtra money for me because I know how easy it is for me to get sick. I hate it that I can't ride roller coasters anymore.
