Better Snorkeling Roatan or Costa Maya?

What say you all?

Roatan has a reef where CM is pretty much sandy bottom.

Roatan, hands down.

I third Roatan, it sits on the second largest barrier reef in the world, much better for snorkeling.

Absolutely Roatan.

The Blue Channel in Roatan was absolutely the best snorkeling we've experienced at any port of call. It was fantastic! We booked a snorkel tour right from the beach at West Bay (Bananarama) for $20pp. We had our own snorkel equipment and the guy took us out to the channel for about an hour. I would highly recommend Roatan over Costa Maya.

The worst snorkeling spot at Roatan would still be vastly superior to the best at Costa Maya
