Uber or Lyft from FLL to SoBe...any problems?

Has anyone taken either Uber or Lyft from FLL to the South Beach area? It's a bit of a distance. Advice? Suggestions? And from SoBe to POM?

I've taken Uber in Southern Florida and would not hesitate to take Uber or Lyft.

Uber from FLL to SB should run about $35-40 depending upon location; from SB to POM should be about $15 or so, again depending upon where you are starting from. Lyft fares should be about the same.

Just put the info into the Lyft app and it will tell you what the cost would be. I just used Lyft from Port Everglades to FLL and it was $7.26.

They don't really expect tips and every time I've given one (generally cash but sometimes I add it) I'll add around 5 bucks or so give or take depending on how nice the person is and how much crap I have. Maybe from FLL to MIA I'd give a bit more.....

It's GPS so the apps are pretty good at finding you. Often the driver will call or you can text and tell them the name of the ship. They're pretty good at finding people IME
