confused about pre-boarding dinner reservations

We are booked on the Silhouette December 29 sailing. We keep getting emails from Celebrity "Your cruise is right around the corner, book your specialty restaurants today". Then, when I get on their website, they say the 4 dinner package is "not available online", then I tried to make a reservation for the first night, as it says there is a 20% discount for that, and it wouldn't take either. HELP!!

Because it is a holiday sailing the specialty package is probably not available, esp for pre booking (at least it was not available for us last year and we cannot book it this year). We have booked the 1st night with the offer of a 20% discount. However, we have always had to pay in full upon booking then got a ship board credit back on the difference, take your email offer to confirm. Last New Years they had a bigger discount available on the 1st night once we boarded. We rebooked the 1st night and switched our prebooked dinner to the last night of the cruise.

If you want to book new years eve and it is available, book it now. Last year they closed new years eve booking at the end of October and even captains club could not get us booked - when we boarded we were told it was sold out.

They suspended the 5 and 3 package before going but then opened it on board last year but blacked out certain days and times. The first night had a 50% discount if you booked as you boarded - but that is the only time I've seen it so high. If you have already booked and there is a better offer on board then swap it with the MTD, we've done that before and they refunded the difference to our on board account
