St Thomas Taxi Fares

Although we haven't been, I've read that taxi's know just where people will congregate and will be available most (if not all) of the time. I would even go so far as to say that they'll especially be available closer to the time the ships are scheduled to leave.

Remember that they don't make money unless they have a fare. No doubt you won't have any problem finding a taxi!

When we go somewhere, we usually ask our taxi driver to come get us at a designated time then give a decent tip. Not once has the taxi driver disappointed us! :)

Taxi for one person will be $13. If you have more than one than it will be $10 each. At the cruise ship piers, both WICO and Crown Bay, taxi's are plentiful and easy to find. Same will be true at the popular locations such as Magen's Bay. Often, a driver will ask if you would like him to come back for you and most are happy to do so at an arranged time. It won't change the fare, but some people feel more comfortable knowing they will have a definate ride back to their ship.
