New Orleans Streetcars DO allow luggage!

Because the info for has been so contradictory for the last few years, I called the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority today. The assured me that you can carry your suitcases on board a streetcar. They must be placed under your seat. This has not always been the case in the past. Not sure if it is a recent change or not. Here is the RTA's number if you want to verify yourself:

(504) 248-3900.

Good luck and enjoy your New Orleans visit.

I can't even imagine...maybe it was the time I was there, but there wasn't even any place to sit on it (or stand hardly for that matter) let alone be able to get a suitcase on it or put it under your seat. Hopefully it's not like that all the time. :(
