Default Advice please – departing Sydney +30s +40s – single

May I please ask are there any cruises that depart Sydney with a +30 +40 singles demographic. I am traveling alone and trying to avoid or minimise couples, the young and the old.

Welcome. The usual rule is the longer the cruise or the colder the cruise the older the guests. So maybe not New Zealand.

The Pacific Islands usually have a younger crowd. Kids will be in Kids Club anyways.

Hi,

Different cruise lines have a general demographic bias according to many cruisers on this forum, although no 2 cruises will ever be alike & all will vary from the general view from time to time.
But this I believe is the general consensus.

Carnival or P&O for a younger crowd & families.
Royal Caribbean for a mixed crowd
Celebrity & HAL for an older crowd

Carnival are pretty good at letting people get drunk so I would suggest Carnival Spirit

Plenty of people cruise in their 30,s and 40,s and mostly to where the sun shines plenty,I was one of them, not of late though 40,s is just a dream of mine in the past )

But to tell you the truth Cruising is a couples/family thing and sometimes singles are a bit older and decided to continue their cruising experience alone (never alone thus this forum).

I have witnessed a few pick ups in the nightclub very late and a few teen holiday romances but on a whole cruising is a sharing experience for couples and families.

Lonely Hearts it is not

Carnival USA is pretty good for singles though!
