Prepaid gratuities ?

No- your waiter, asst waiter and cabin steward are all taken care of.

(no wif they go above and beyond their duties and do something extra for you-- then you would tip accordingly.- other then that= no)

The Fantasy is one of those class ships that does not have the interactive tv in the cabins. Visit the Pursers desk to view your account.

Take your invoice to show they were prepaid in case you get charged again.

Rare does it happen-- but it does.

I will be sailing Carnival Destiny in Jan - so I have the option to pre-pay or not? Does the room attendant also get something from the pre-payment?

THE Tips go to the waiter/asst waiter and cabin steward. (thats the room attendant. )

some agents dont like to get the prepaid tips paid ahead. (mine surely doesnt) I buy funship dollars and so that way its prepaid.

Just tell your booking agent that you choose to prepay the gratuities when you pay for your cruise. That way, it's all outta the way for you.

What this covers is:

$3.50 per passenger per day to cabin steward;

$5.50 per passenger per day to dining room waiter & his asst.

$1.00 per passenger per day to Lido Deck dining personnel.

What about if you get a beverage.

Do you tip for the free beverages that are brought to you or are they only free when you self serve?

Buying drinks do you tip or is it added to your bar bill?

Beverages that are included in your cruise fare are generally not served to you, except in the dining room. On Lido, there is a self-serve beverage station, and you serve yourself. So, no, you do not tip for these beverages.

As far as purchasing drinks, there will be a 15% tip automatically added to each beverage order...whether at the bar or having a server bring them to you. So - NO add'l tipping expected.
