Hi All! We leave on the Independence in 2 weeks, and will be in FLL the day before. Would love to watch the ships pull out on Saturday. Are their any restaurants that we can eat at and view the ships? Any other suggestions on places to go to watch? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you eat at Oasis Cafe in Fort Lauderdale or Quarterdeck in Dania Beach, you can see ships sailing out to sea but there are no restaurants that the ships sail right by.

What is that big restaurant/bar right over the 17th Street Bridge heading towards the beach on the left? I wonder if they have a view or the bridge blocks it?

We always head out in the boat to watch the ships leave. It's weird, like watching the Empire State Building moving on its side.
