Rental car in cabo to chileno beach

Rent a car at Avis Pueblo Bonito Rosa (location Avis KB6 - quick, east, fast - water taxi to it on Medano Beach).

Make an Avis reservation online cheap, call Avis to change the location to KB6.

Get on the 1st tender early (figure out how). There are many ways to do this.

Get on a water taxi to Medano Beach. Tobascos beach drop off is the closet to Pueblo Bonito Rosa

The Bad News... everytime we pass Chileno beach, no one is there, and it is not a place to spend the whole day (marginal snorkel in Cabo).

The Good News... STOP BY at Chileno beach and THEN SEE ALL THE GREAT OTHER SIGHTS

you could also send someone ahead to rent from Avis and drive back around to near the tender pier, if ya wanna save water taxi $ for 7.

All the car rental places in Cabo are a far Far FAR walk from the cruise pier on the busy ugly main street, and the Pueblo Bonito Rosa lobby and walk thru the pool area is NICE

Hmmm...we aren't real party people and we don't drink so medando isn't a place we really thought of. The kids like to do SUPs and just play on the beach. We like the quiet. Maybe I could send my hubby ahead to get the car...would I send him by water taxi then he would drive over to pick us up?

Cabo is a harsh windy desert climate located in the middle of the pacific ocean, with shear drop off deep ocean water; not a calm shallow tropical location.

Very few people SUP, or even swim... rather... almost no one swims.

Lots of people fish for deep water giant marlin.

Medano Beach is a very large beach with a small party area. The 50 yd morning walk from Tobascos water taxi drop off to Pueblo Bonito Rosa would likely not see any partying, only a steep coarse (hard to walk on) sandy beach with lots of vendors, and then a beautiful Pueblo Bonito Rosa pool area stroll to the Avis Booth in the Lobby Entry.

A water taxi ride with a resort stroll to Avis would be memories for a lifetime. Then 6 of you could be dropped off near the tender at the end.

Most folks are hesitant to rent a car and drive in Mexico. We are not hesitant to do so.

Cabo is a favorite port, a young city with nice highways, and an extremely beautiful ship anchor ambiance

  • 4 weeks later...

We did this 2 years ago with my family. We rented a car from National Car Rental right there at the marina when you get off the tenders in the long white building. We had a Nissan. We stopped at a large grocery store on the way to the beach for drinks and snacks. The video is Chileno beach.

Day 2 on our cruise we went to Tabascos on Medono beach. Both place were great, but liked our day at Tabascos at little better.
