Bringing a pop up tent or umbrella to goff's caye?

I am traveling this summer to belize with my family which includes 5 kids (2 of them under 1 year old). I would like to visit goff's caye but am concerned about the lack of shade for the kids especially the infants. Do you think I would be allowed to bring either a pop up tent or an umbrella to shield the little ones from the sun? Can anyone recall ever seeing anybody use any of these items for shade? Any other ideas? I tried to search the forums but do not see anyone ever getting this answered. Thank you for your responses.

You need to first check with your cruise line. These items are on the prohibited lists for some cruise lines. But you can bring a regular umbrella, so a large golf type umbrella may be an answer.

I looked on carnivals prohibited and restricted items list and did not see either item listed. So I guess I am fine there. However I am unsure if the island itself prohibits such items. Does anyone know?

Not a bad idea. I don't think they would be prohibited on the island.
