Question Non-refundable excursions covered?

Would most insurance cover "non-refundable excursions"?
Say you go on the cruise and have prepaid an excursion which states "non-refundable" but you end up getting sick and are unable to go on that excursion. Would the insurance refund the amount you had to prepay (about $400)?

If you have included the non-refundable excursions in the insured amount, the policy doesn't exclude them, and if the trip interruption/cancellation was for a covered reason, then yes; they are no different from, say, your cruise fare.

Now, if something that happens on the excursion causes you to, say, miss the boat... THAT is going to vary wildly by policy/carrier.
