From the Bermuda ship schedule it does not look like any ships at the Dockyard those two days. That probably entered into the decision to postpone starting the St. George's the service until Wednesday.

True, but there is a ship in Hamilton until 2 pm tomorrow, and if any of those passengers are traveling around the island, they may have wanted to use the St. George ferry. Also a fair number of locals ride the ferry. I suspect the key words in the article are "near completion"...meaning they can't use the dock yet because work isn't finished, and that may be real reason for postponement of service.

Anything is possible but it is not likely any one would want to use the St. George's ferry when their ship is leaving from Hamilton at 2:00. They would not make it back in time if they went by ferry. Also that ship is small. About 600 passengers. As to the fair number of locals, they don't run the St. George's ferry until the cruise season so the passengers are primarily from cruise ships.

It is on Pennos drive east of the old one. Not far but closer to the town square.

The old one, at Pennos Wharf, is reverting back to a cruise ship dock.

So the new ferry dock is not complete and the ferry is debarking passengers at Ordinance Island. That is just off the town square.

The very ferry service is running to St. George's but not to the new ferry dock. That is what it says if you read the article I linked to. None here can predict when the new ferry dock will be open. The article is vague. The only issue is that the temporary docking location is not accessible for those with disabilities. The fare is one token which costs $4.50 at the Visitor Information Centers or $5 cash.

As has become routine those who cruise in May are beta testers for the year's cruise season. Today is the first big cruise day of the season so fresh report backs should be coming. Stay tuned.

The temporary dock is where the NCL ships used to dock in the town center of St George's. The new ferry dock is just east of where Princess docked.

So the new ferry dock is not complete and the ferry is debarking passengers at Ordinance Island. That is just off the town square.

Just returned from BDA and the ferry used used the dock (April 27). Walked right out into town square. Very convenient.
