Embarkation Day - Leaving Ship after Check-in

Hi

My wife and I are cruising on the Jade in May in a Penthouse Suite (SF).

Now I wonder whether it is possible to leave the ship after check-in to do some sight-seeing (eg check in,

have lunch at Cagney's, get off the ship and come back).

Would they have a door open where already checked in passengers can get back in easily?

In theory that would be possible, on most cruises there are at least few B2B-passengers who stay on ship on disembarkation/embarkation day and who will do this naturally. Just keep in mind you must be onboard two hours before departure for the muster drill (I'm guessing that you sail out from Venice at 18:00 so you need to be onboard latest at 16:00).

And no, there is no special way of getting onboard, you would go in just like the first time with the difference of just skipping the check-in and walking straight from the security to the ship.

Hi,

It is possible, I had a hire car in spain before our cruise on the jade a few years ago. I parked at the cruise terminal (Barcelona), checked in, boarded and then had lunch.

I left the family on board while i returned the car to the airport, got back around 4pm no problems.
