What do you wish you brought but didnt?

We have been on Divina twice. Love it! The second time, I brought my own pillow. The first time, the pillow was not my favorite and, when I asked, our housekeeper brought me five more to see if I would like them. They were better, and I slept well. But, I just brought my own pillow this time to assuage any concerns. I also love vegemite on toast for breakfast, so I brought my own since they do not have it in the buffet. I would say if there is a particular brand of something you like bring it. We saw some Brits who love one kind of tea. And, the ship did not have the one kind of tea and they were put out. They should have just brought that one kind of tea themselves. Problem solved. We also brought conditioner since they do not provide it. We love their shampoo and body wash, but sadly could not buy any on board to bring home. Oh, bring a Tervis tumbler with top and handle. We brought 12 oz kinds and they were great for the buffet and taking ashore. I also brought far less clothes with me the second time then first. But, was sure to bring a few more dressy items, as, at night, many folks dress up beautifully. We also brought our own ping pong gear and a small soccer ball so we did not have to bother asking for it from staff. Oh, and bring clips to hold your towels to your lounge chairs. We got soooo many envious looks due to our snazzy clips. And, if you like music, some of the smaller, private decks are away from the music, so we had a small blue tooth speaker for our enjoyment.

I am super picky about pillows. I did not have an issue with my interior room state room pillows.

Some type of mirror I can use to put on makeup outside the bathroom (when others are showering). I am very near sighted and short. So I could not sit at the main cabin vanity and see to put on my eye makeup :o. In some cases I'm too short to lean over the bath counter to see what I'm doing. In YC I stood at the mirror as you come in the door so that worked. I have the same problems at hotels. Don't know what I would buy but if you have suggestions, that would be great.

I have a small oblong mirror with a folding stand on the back. Check your Dollar stores or Walmart.

I see that you've already sailed, but for the benefit of others . . . insulated travel mugs for coffee and bar beverages, clips or clothespins to hold towels on deck/beach chairs (it gets windy on the decks) and to clip wet swimsuits on hangers to dry, more toothpaste, shampoo, etc. Couldn't find a place on the ship that sold toiletries. (Not certain it wasn't available somewhere on board, but we couldn't find it. Walgreens in San Juan!)

Another person mentioned the pillows. Everybody has their own preference, and it's not easy to bring your own pillows on a cruise. Ours were like a big bag of cotton balls, which we remedied by putting a folded towel inside the pillowcase.

Going on our first MSC Divina cruise in October but I've been watching many cruise vlogs. Many say bring your own pillow as the ones on the ship are awful.

We loved the Divina! Pillows are kind of like a bag of cotton balls. Just put a folded towel in the front of the pillowcase and you should be fine.

We have just recently moved from Florida to Colorado, so when we were able to drive to the cruise terminals, we could bring every and anything our hearts desired (however, ironically, over the years we did learn to start paring down!), but now that we have to worry about luggage weight, we will definitely be cutting way back on our extras and "niceties".

There are, though, some things we wouldn't want to give up and will either fit into the suitcases or will buy once we've arrived at either FLL or MIA.

Tap light for the bathroom, so that those "in the middle of the night" visits don't mean having to turn on the glaring lights.

Two small travel clocks, or a travel clock and an old watch. We've found that most cabins don't provide a clock and we like a small unobtrusive one to help us keep track of time ... when we need to. And I like to put an old watch on our beach bag, so that when we're out and about, either in port or up on deck, we can always know what's time it is.

A can of air freshener for the cabin, for obvious reasons, but it's also great for spraying in runners and any other closed in shoes that you've been wearing out walking in ports, or working out in! Plus, they're so inexpensive that you don't mind leaving it behind at the end of the cruise!

And, of course, lots and lots of sunscreen, and we'd never forget some basic medications, as they are hard to find and very expensive to buy either on the ship or in port.

Love hearing everyone's ideas ... we still hear new ones that get added to our "Pack List"!

:cool::D
