hi

We will be on the Xmas and New Year cruise on the Eclipse, would anyone be able to advise whether we need/can book our son into the activities before we sail or will it be ok to do so once on board.

It is just that on a holiday cruise with PO recently the club was unable to accomodate all the children who wanted to attend

Thanks

Debbie

The staff already know exactly how many children in each age group are on every sailing. They have a print out that they check - used especially if you request your child to move into a different age class group. We've never had a problem with allocation of places on any of our cruises, and our kids have been on every one ;).

Shocked that the other line was refusing to allow children to join in the activities. I'm sure there would have been quite a few complaints, especially on a peak holiday sailing . How did they allocate the places - first come, first served basis?

Kids clubs DO have limits as to the number of kids they can legally accommodate, so when sailing on any line where there's a large number of kids, there is a chance that they will not be able to accept every child. We experienced this on Royal Caribbean and Princess during Easter cruises.

You can't pre-book kids club. On embarkation day go to kids club open day session and sign up for the program. Then each day when each session starts (3 sessions per day 9am-12pm, 2pm-5pm & 7pm-10pm) you just sign them in/out, there's no booking. There's generally less kids on Celebrity than RCL, P&O, Carnival etc, so hopefully you won't have too much trouble. I realise it's a holiday sailing, but on our last Celebrity cruise, there were only 8 kids in the 3-9 age groups combined, so they only used the one kids club room and kept them together instead of splitting them up.
