Suite Priority Tendering

It's been a couple of years since we sailed on X so can someone with recent experience please refresh my memory as to how the suite priority tendering works if we aren't doing an X excursion. Do we get tendering tickets in our cabin the night before or do we have to go get them somewhere? Do we have to go somewhere in the morning and wait for a number to be called or do we just go to wherever the tenders are loading and get in line there whenever we want? (not that it should make a difference -- I don't think -- but this will be in Bar Harbor)

Thanks!

You'll get priority tender tickets in your cabin. But to be honest, they really don't mean a lot because nowadays it seems so many people qualify for this "perk". We usually report to the theater and show them our priority tickets and they tell us what time to go to the tenders. But the tours always get first priority.

With priority tender tickets it tells you where to go on them, it's not usually the theatre as that's where everyone else goes. Once you go there you will be greeted usually by the captains club host/ess and he/she will get you put on the next tender.

We are just off silhouette, not a suite but a Elite which also gets you priority tender. They put tickets in our cabin the night before and when we wanted to leave we went down to the Ensemble Lounge and the Captains Club hostess escorted us down in the elevator to the gangway - to me,it seemed a very valuable perk as we cut right in front of the long lines, but there seemed to be very few elites on our cruise and maybe that made a difference. I would say other than the free laundry, it was our best perk.

We were on the 8/17 sailing of Silhouette. We were instructed to come to Michaels Club when we wanted to leave the ship in our tender ports and we were escorted down to the tender by the Suite Host and went to the front of the line. I am not sure how those in Sky Suites got their Priority tickets....

We were in a Sky Suite in May on the Reflection and received priority tender tickets from our butler the night before for Villefranche. We showed up at the appointed place and traded our tickets for a number and then when our number was called we were directed to the tender. There were probably about 100 people already there and we waited about 20-25 minutes.

We were on a private tour of 6 people - one couple was Elite so also received priority tickets. We were concerned about the other couple being delayed so asked the butler about it. He gave us 2 extra priority tickets for that couple. I'm gad he did because we heard later that some people had quite a delay getting off the ship (though it seems if they do that regularly, it would defy the purpose).

We have found the priority tender tickets to be very helpful in tendering early. You avoid waiting in line for the tickets and then waiting again longer for the tender with your number.
We find the priority tender tickets to be very helpful if it is a day when we have an early excursion scheduled.

Otherwise, we almost never use them.

We are not naturally early risers, so we take our time in the morning and enjoy a relaxing, leisurely breakfast. Then we usually walk around taking some photos of the new harbor and port from the ship.

By the time we get ready to leave the ship they have usually gone to open tendering so no tender tickets are needed.

Once the initial mad rush is over and they go to open tendering, you just head right down to the tender dock whenever you please and board the next tender.

In June on the EQ there were no tickets for suite guests. When ready to debark the ship you walked down to Michael's Club and the Concierge escorted us down. No issues at all.

If you didn't have tix, how did you know to go to Michael's Club? (in case that's the case on our cruise)

I haven't tendered with Michael's club accesses, but we recevied almost daily phone messages and notes in our cabin about what was going on, invites, etc.

For Disembarkation, she sent our luggage tags with a note on what to do and where to go. Regardless of the time we wanted to leave the ship, we were all given luggage tags 1. We waited in Michae's clubs and when she was ready she radioed (or maybe someone radioed her) and she escorted us to the elevator, had an elevator sent, or maybe an empty one just came, to Deck 4 and loaded all the suite guests in who would fit. It was quiet getting off, and after a short ride to the terminal (NJ has a bus), we found our bags, were through customs and in our car in roughly 10 minutes from leaving Michael's Club. I think this was even before the walk off passengers.

I could see how the same thing would/could work for tendering. We stop by Michael's club and she escorts us down the elevtor to the tendering deck and right onto the waiting tender. Was a very nice perk.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Just of the Eclipse.

Tender tickets were placed in the cabin the day before. We met in the Ensemble lounge and were taken to the first tender by the Captains club host.

Excellent.

Last year on the Reflections the tender tickets were with our welcome aboard/ voucher pack for Santorini and again we were quickly off the ship, escorted to tenders by Captain's club host, as the shore excursions used a different set of tenders. The coaches park up along the coast from the cable car.

One of the best perks in our opinion.

Was this for Elite, or for Suite? What level of Suite?

Happy sailing,
