Troop Ship Conversion?

Hi Stephen,

Thanks once again for taking the time to do this. Queen Mary 2 truly is a wonder of the modern world.

As many of QM2's predecessors saw Military Service as troop ships, was Troop Ship functionality ever a consideration during the design of QM2? Are there any design features or "For but not with" type considerations to allow for the easy addition of certain equipment or which would allow a quick conversion?

Troopship functionality was not in any way considered during the design of Queen Mary 2. As no State building or operating subsidies were/are involved, we were under no obligation to consider such matters.
